For a number of reasons, including the importance of protecting the environment, the adequacy of research and development work on the subjects mentioned by the Deputy must be kept under review. Despite constraints on public finances valuable work has been done and continues to be done by An Foras Talúntais in connection with the handling, disposal and use of farm slurries and effluents.
