Vol. 352 No. 5

Written Answers. - Remedial Teacher Appointment.

328.

asked the Minister for Education if, as a matter of urgency to the school children she will approve a remedial teacher to a national school (details supplied) in Dublin 9.

The applications of schools for remedial posts are examined by my Department and posts are allocated to the schools from the available allocation of teachers in accordance with a priority of need.

Following careful consideration, the application of the school in question was not placed sufficiently high in order of priority of need to warrant the allocation of a post in the school year 1983-84.

The school's current application will be considered again in the circumstances obtaining in relation to the creation of any such posts for the 1984-85 school-year.
