Statistics are not available at this stage which would enable the precise information required by the Deputy to be given.
The statistics available at the present time are those contained in table 76 of the Annual Report of the Revenue Commissioners for the year ended 31 December 1981 which indicate that in 1980-81 the average effective rate of tax levied on each pound of actual income as defined in the notes to the table was 22.98p.
