Vol. 352 No. 8

Written Answers. - Land Purchases.

482.

asked the Minister for Health to list any parcels of land purchased by his Department over the past 20 years for the purpose of building development which still remain undeveloped; the size of each such parcel of land; the date on which it was purchased; the purchase price of the land; the estimated present value of the land and the plans his Department now have for the use of such land.

In the case of my own Department the answer is nil. However, the various health agencies acquire land from time to time for the purpose of building development. Such acquisitions are made to meet anticipated early developmental needs, and would not in the normal course remain undeveloped for any length of time. If the Deputy's question relates to some specific land acquisition he might provide me with the necessary details and I will arrange to have inquiries made.
