I am informed by the Industrial Development Authority that the publishers of the journal in question are carrying on their enterprise in accordance with the terms of the grant agreement concluded with IDA under their International Services Programme. I cannot intervene as long as the company comply with the terms of that agreement. In any event, the company have assured the IDA that they have never carried advertisements from any South African company or organisation.
The Government would be concerned if any company assisted by IDA were involved with South African arms interests, and would insist that no further support be given to such a company.
