Under the terms of the EC Regulation governing the European Regional Development Fund, aid may be granted from the fund for the creation and development of infrastructure. However the fund does not aid the maintenance or repairs to existing structures. There would not therefore be any prospect of a grant from the fund for repair work at Portnacross Pier, Killybegs.
