Vol. 352 No. 10

Written Answers. - Wexford Social Welfare Office.

424.

asked the Minister for Social Welfare when he will provide adequate accommodation for the staff of the social welfare office, at Anne Street, Wexford, which was originally designed for seven staff and now has 23; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

It is accepted that the premises in Anne Street are inadequate having regard to the numbers of staff located there. The intention is to relocate some staff from the employment exchange to alternative premises thereby providing adequate space for the remaining staff. The alternative premises have been obtained by the Office of Public Works and that office is arranging to have them fitted out. It is expected that this work will be completed and the offices ready for occupation by the middle of December 1984.
