The planning of the proposed new school at Station Road, Portarlington, is in the hands of an architect in private practice who has been engaged by the manager of the school. The sketch plans which have been prepared by the manager's architect have been approved by the Office of Public Works and sent to the Department of Education for consideration. It is too early to say when the invitation of tenders can be authorised.
