While the purchase of the lands in question was originally under consideration as far back as 1979, it was not possible to finalise the transactions as the vendors did not have proper title to the lands. However, following their recent registration as owners, negotiations for purchase have been reopened and subject to price agreement now being reached there will be no avoidable delay on the part of my Department in completing the deal.
