It is assumed that the Deputy has in mind the recent provision introduced by Government Order for the partial repayment of excise duty on spirits returned to bonded warehouse by persons who originally delivered the spirits from warehouse.
I am informed by the Revenue Commissioners that all eligible persons who warehoused spirits under the arrangement have been invited to lodge suitable documented repayment claims. Claims already received are being dealt with as a priority matter and, subject to verification of payment of duty, will be passed for repayment without delay.
