The payments in the period to 26 October 1984 under the new scheme of transport arrangements for Ministers of State amounted to £33,225 in the case of the Minister of State at the Department of Health. This figure includes £21,125 in respect of the cost of employing two civilian drivers. The mileage involved was 44,801.
