Architectural planning of the proposed new classrooms and sports hall at Scoil Íde, Finglas, is at an advanced stage and my Department now awaits the submission of detailed design proposals by the City of Dublin Vocational Education Committee.
It is not yet possible to indicate when the project will be offered for tender or when construction may commence. These matters cannot arise for consideration until the planning process has been completed. There has been no avoidable delay on my Department's part in dealing with design proposals in this case and the Deputy may take it that my Department will process the further stages of planning as a matter of urgency.
