asked the Minister for Education if she is aware of the need for eight additional classrooms for Castleconnell national school, County Limerick; if she will outline the provisions, if any, which have been made for this; and if she will make a statement on the matter.

My Department has agreed to the extension of Castleconnell national school, with a view to the provision overall of 12 classrooms. I understand that a sketch scheme submitted by the school authority's architect is at present under consideration by the Commissioners of Public Works whose report and recommendations are awaited by my Department.

My Department has approved the provision of a new building comprising eight classrooms and a general purposes area for Richill national school, County Limerick. It is understood that a sketch scheme prepared by the school authority's architect is at present being examined by the Commissioners of Public Works, whose report and recommendations are awaited by my Department.
