asked the Minister for Communications if he will state the outcome of his meeting on 27 November 1984 with the RTE Authority; and if, so as to avoid the threatened disruption of RTE Christmas programmes, he proposes to have further talks with the Authority with a view to having the matters in dispute resolved.

Industrial relations in RTE are a matter for RTE to deal with within the context of public sector pay policy where pay issues are involved. The compatibility with public sector pay policy of a number of pay awards at RTE is currently in question and discussions are taking place between RTE and the Departments concerned with a view to having the matter resolved.
