I have been advised by the Revenue Commissioners that the inspector has been unable to trace any recent request from the taxpayer for a certificate of tax-free allowances or a notification that the taxpayer had taken up employment. The inspector has now requested the relevant information and, when this is supplied, the required certificate will be issued without delay.

I have been advised by the Revenue Commissioners that, as agreed with the taxpayer's husband, an amended certificate of tax-free allowance was issued to the taxpayer on 7 December 1984, granting her all of her husband's tax-free allowances for the current year for use in connection with her employment earnings.
