I have already responded to proposals put to my Department by Town of Tralee Vocational Education Committee regarding the purchase of extra land for Tralee Regional Technical College. In this connection I understand that the total area of the site at Clash is 28.666 acres on which stand the sports complex, the vocational school and the regional technical college. When deduction has been made for the vocational school and the sports centre, the area of the college site is in the order of 18 acres. This compares favourably with the area of the sites in the other regional technical colleges and accordingly I am not prepared to sanction the purchase of the additional land being requested by Town of Tralee Vocational Education Committee.
