The amounts paid to my Department in respect of levy collected in 1983 and to date in 1984 are £69,828,788 and £72,376,860 respectively.
The total amounts allocated in 1983 and 1984 to date to Departments and agencies from the provision of my Department's Vote for training and employment of young persons are set out below. (The relevant Vote subhead represents mainly the estimated receipts of the levy). Allocations from the subhead are made by the Minister for Labour with the agreement of the Minister for Finance and following discussions with the Youth Employment Agency.
