asked the Minister for the Environment the number of housing applicants on the housing list of Louth County Council at 1 January 1985; the number of married couples, single parents, separated married couples, male and female, on the list; if he will give the numbers also on the basis of each electoral area within the county council area; and the name and addresses and the date of application of each applicant on the housing list in each electoral area.

My Department issued a questionnaire to local authorities on 14 December 1984 regarding details of housing applicants as at 31 December 1984 and the returns are not yet available. The number of approved housing applicants to Louth County Council as at 31 December 1983 and the categories involved, as indicated to my Department, are as follows:
