I have been advised by the Revenue Commissioners that the taxpayer's claim for repayment of tax for 1984-85 on the grounds of unemployment has been dealt with and a cheque in settlement should reach him shortly. The information available to the inspector indicates that the taxpayer was employed for less than a month during the 1983-84 tax year. All the tax deducted from his earnings in respect of that period of employment was repaid to him on 23 September 1983.
