Mr. Coughlan
My Department have approved in principle the extension of Dromore national school, county Donegal, with a view to provision in seven permanent classrooms and a general purposes area. The Commissioners of Public Works who act as the Department's technical advisers have reported that the extension of the school is not feasible on the existing site. The commissioners have requested the school authorities to acquire additional land, which it is understood is available. The commissioners have reported that they will be unable to proceed further until the additional land is acquired.

asked the Minister for Education the up-to-date position regarding the proposed new national school for Frosses, County Donegal.
My Department on 19 December 1984 sanctioned a grant towards the cost of the proposed new national school for Frosses, County Donegal. The school authorities now have authorisation to prepare the contract documents in consultation with the Commissioners of Public Works. When these documents have been completed, the question of authorising the invitation of tenders for the project will be considered.
