The total amount paid for 1984 was £21,478. Sums of £11,747 and £7,491 were paid to Eukon Associates, Management Consultants and to Irish Marketing Surveys Limited, respectively, in respect of attitudinal surveys on economic and social issues and a sum of £2,240 was paid to a Public Relations Consultant, Ms. Helen Doyle, for promotion work in relation to support and developmental activities in the women's affairs area.
Similar attitudinal surveys were carried out by Irish Marketing Surveys in 1979 (cost £24,200), in 1980 (cost £25,300), in 1981 (cost £27,000) and in 1982 (cost £27,500).
