asked the Minister for Finance if he will make a statement on the disposition of the funds allocated under the last Funds of Suitors Act, indicating when the dispositions will be made and to which organisations.
Written Answers. - Funds of Suitors Act.
503.
A total of £580,000 has already been disposed of under the authority of the Funds of Suitors Act, 1984, and details of the beneficiaries are as set out in my reply to Question No. 265 of 23 January last. As regards future dispositions of funds under the Act, the organisations to benefit and the timing of the dispositions under section 2(a) (culture and the arts) and section 2(e) (ii) and (iii) (court projects and civil legal aid) fall to be determined by the Taoiseach and the Minister for Justice, respectively. The remaining dispositions under section 2(b) (King's Inns premises) and 2(e) (i) (Children's Court) will be made to the Office of Public Works according as work on these projects progresses.
