asked the Minister for Labour the number of people at present employed on new training schemes in County Donegal.

The information requested in so far as training courses run by AnCO and CERT in County Donegal is as follows:

AnCO's training centres in Gweedore and Letterkenny, County Donegal, directly employ 56 people, including both instructors and administrative staff. In addition there are 15 foremen employed on Community Youth Training Projects whose salary costs are met by AnCO. AnCO's external training activities in Donegal involve the employment of four instructors by outside contractors who carry out training on AnCO's behalf.

St. Fiacras Community Workshop in Letterkenny employs a full time director and four part time VEC teachers whose salary costs are recouped from the Youth Employment Agency.

There are a total of 457 trainees currently engaged in training on AnCO courses in the Donegal area, broken down as follows:

CERT employ a regional training adviser whose area includes both County Donegal and County Leitrim.

In addition CERT provide advice and assistance to the Killybegs Hotel School which is staffed by the County Donegal VEC.

There are currently 169 trainees pursuing hotel and catering studies at the Killybegs school.
