600.

(Limerick West) asked the Minister for the Environment when a house improvement grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Limerick.

The application in this case was made by Limerick County Council as owners of the house. On receipt of notification of completion of work, an inspection will be arranged as quickly as possible with a view to payment of the grant approved if in order.

(Limerick West) asked the Minister for the Environment when a water supply grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Limerick.

On receipt of notification of completion of work an inspection will be arranged with a view to payment of the grant approved, if in order.

asked the Minister for the Environment if he will arrange for an early inspection of a house on behalf of an applicant for a home improvement grant (details supplied) in County Clare.

This application was received on 19 March 1985 and an inspection will be carried out as soon as possible with a view to the approval of a grant, if in order.

603.

asked the Minister for the Environment when payment of a mortgage subsidy will be made to a person (details supplied) in County Galway.

The third instalment of the mortgage subsidy amounting to £500 was paid on 28 March 1985.

604.

asked the Minister for the Environment if he will ensure that persons suffering from Huntingtons disease will be eligible for grants for house improvement under the disabled person's scheme.

Under the Housing Regulations, 1980 a disabled person's grant is payable by a local authority for works that are, in the opinion of the authority, reasonably necessary for the purpose of rendering a house more suitable for the accommodation of a member of a household who is either physically handicapped or is suffering from severe mental handicap or severe mental illness. The particular illness or disabilities that come within the scope of the scheme have not been specified.
