In addition, a team of professional consultants comprising an architect, quantity surveyor, mechanical and electrical engineer and a structural engineer is appointed in respect of all post primary school building projects for the purpose of designing the building and supervising its erection. In view of the very large number of building projects that were erected during the period since 1970 it is considered that the time and expense involved in ascertaining the amount of fees paid would not be warranted.
Fees paid by Cospóir to public relations consultants in the year 1980-84 are included in the above statement. In addition advertising agencies were employed by Cospóir from 1978 to 1983. The fees were paid on the basis of service charges. It is not feasible to establish the extent of the charges in the time available.
