Vol. 359 No. 7

Written Answers. - Grant and Mortgage Subsidy Payment.

27.

Mr. Cowen

asked the Minister for the Environment when a new house grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Offaly.

There is no record in my Department of the receipt of a new house grant application from the person named.

28.

asked the Minister for the Environment whether his Department is considering an application for a new house grant and a mortgage interest subsidy made by a person (details supplied) in County Limerick; and if so, when these grants will be paid.

A new house grant will be paid to the person named when an inspection establishes that the house is complete and occupied and complies with all other conditions of the grant scheme. The file in this case is at present with my Department's inspector for investigation and report.

Arrangements will be made for payment of the first instalment of the mortgage subsidy, if in order, following payment of the grant and receipt of the appropriate claim form.

29.

asked the Minister for the Environment when a mortgage subsidy will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Carlow.

As the person named executed his mortgage on 3 July 1984, the first instalment of the mortgage subsidy is not due for payment until 3 July 1985. The claim form forwarded to him on 8 May 1985, should be completed by him and certified by his lending agency before returning it to my Department for payment.
