Vol. 359 No. 9

Written Answers. - Health Services Eligibility.

120.

asked the Minister for Health if he will arrange for a refund of medical expenses to a person (details supplied) in Dublin 12 who is due over £1,000 for appliances from her chemist as she is a colostomy and urostomy case; and if he will now confirm that the cheque for arrears has issued.

121.

asked the Minister for Health if he will arrange for a medical card to issue to persons (details supplied) in Dublin 12 in view of the circumstances involved, and if he will consider them as a special case.

122.

asked the Minister for Health if he will arrange for the proper quantities of syringes to issue from the Eastern Health Board to a person (details supplied) in Dublin 12 who has been a diabetic for 28 years and must inject himself twice a day with insulin; and if, when replying, he will take into account the fact that a diabetic person is very liable to infections.

I propose to take Questions Nos. 120 to 122, inclusive, together. As the matters referred to in the Deputy's questions are entirely for examination and decision by the Eastern Health Board, the questions have been referred to the chief executive officer of that board with a request that he reply directly to the Deputy, as a matter of urgency.
