asked the Minister for Education if, in relation to the new school which was recently built at Deansrath, Clondalkin, she will indicate: (a) the cost of the building to the Exchequer; (b) the reason the school was built at this location; and (c) the purpose to which she intends to put the school.

(a) The estimated final cost of the building in question is £3.35 million.
(b) This school is located as it is because its purpose is primarily to serve the post primary education needs of the Deansrath and Bawnogue areas; it is anticipated that it will also serve to cater for pupils from other developing areas in Clondalkin which will experience enormous growth in pupil numbers over the next five or six years.
(c) The school will be a post primary school. It will be under the aegis of County Dublin Vocational Education Committee.
