Vol. 361 No. 3

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

45.

asked the Minister for the Environment if he will arrange to have a final inspection carried out for a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny, with a view to payment of a housing improvement grant as all works are completed and his Department notified.

A final inspection with a view to payment of the grant, if in order, will be carried out in this case as soon as possible.

46.

asked the Minister for the Environment the reason for the long delay in the payment of a mortgage subsidy to a person (details supplied) in County Waterford.

Payment of the second instalment of the mortgage subsidy cannot be made in this case until a claim form, certified by his lending agency, is received from this applicant. This form has not been received to date. A claim form issued to him with the first instalment of the subsidy on 4 September 1984; a duplicate form issued on request from the applicant on 13 June 1985; and a further duplicate form issued on 22 October 1985.

47.

asked the Minister for the Environment when a house improvement grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Mayo whose file is with the inspector since 24 July 1985.

Arrangements are being made to have this grant paid as soon as possible.

48.

asked the Minister for the Environment when he will give approval for a house improvement grant to a person (details supplied) in County Wexford.

There is no record in my Department of the receipt of an application for a house improvement grant from the person named. A certificate of approval has however been issued in respect of an application from a person with the same surname but a different christian name in respect of a house with a similar address.
