I approved Cork (W) County Council's proposal to accept the tender of John Fleming Construction for the civil works contract of the Skibbereen water supply scheme on 9 September 1985 and sanctioned a loan for the scheme on 23 October 1985. I understand that the local authority expect that work on the scheme will commence before the end of 1985.
