An application for grant aid towards the development cost of two livestock marts was received from the co-operative society mentioned on 25 October. The application is currently being considered in the context of an examination of a recent submission by the co-ordinating bodies for livestock marts urging grant aid for mart development generally, which would be a prerequisite for obtaining FEOGA grants under Regulation EEC 355/77.
