I have been advised by the Revenue Commissioners that according to their records the last return of income received from the taxpayer is for the year 1975-76. By reference to that return the taxpayer's tax free allowance entitlement has been carried forward on a yearly basis. The inspector of taxes will now write to the taxpayer for the information required to review her entitlement to tax free allowance for the current year. Any adjustment necessary will be made on receipt of the required information.
