asked the Minister for the Environment when payment of the £1,000 new house grant and mortgage interest subsidy will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Cork.
A grant will be paid to the person named when an inspection establishes that the house has been satisfactorily completed and occupied and complies with all the other conditions of the scheme. The file in this case is at present with my Department's inspector for investigation and report.
Payment of the first instalment of the mortgage subsidy cannot be considered until the grant has been paid and the appropriate claim form duly certified by the lending agency has been furnished to the Department.

There is no record in my Department of the receipt of an application for a new house grant from the person named.
