Vol. 361 No. 11

Written Answers. - Grant and Mortgage Subsidy Payments.

65.

asked the Minister for the Environment when an £800 mortgage subsidy which is due to a person (details supplied) will be paid, as it is now overdue.

The claim for the first instalment of the mortgage subsidy (£1,000) was received in my Department on 31 October 1985. This will be paid shortly. The second instalment (£800) for the period ending 30 September 1986 will be paid in due course when the applicant submits the claim form, duly certified by his lending agency.

66.

asked the Minister for the Environment when the inspection of a house (details supplied) in County Longford will take place with a view to payment of a new house grant.

The inspection will be carried out as soon as possible.

67.

asked the Minister for the Environment if he will arrange to pay a home improvement grant to a person (details supplied) in County Cork.

The payment of a house improvement grant does not arise in this case because the works in question have been carried out at no cost to the applicant by the Southern Health Board under the scheme of special housing aid for the elderly.
