The Town of Galway VEC have an allocation of four ex-quota posts in respect of remedial education and career guidance for the current session. An application was received from the committee for an additional allocation of teachers based on a claim that a high level of disadvantage was evident in the school in question. The application received was considered by my Department but it is regretted that it was not found possible to allocate further posts of this nature to the committee this year.
