asked the Minister for Education the reason she refused to approve the appointment of a remedial teacher in an area (details supplied) in County Donegal.
Written Answers. - County Donegal Remedial Teacher.

Applications of schools for remedial teaching posts are processed by my Department's inspectorate and available posts are allocated in accordance with a priority of need. The application of the schools referred to by the Deputy has not, to date, been placed sufficiently high in order of priority of educational need to warrant the allocation of a post. The application has not been refused, however, and will be further considered in the light of the availability of such posts in the future.
