asked the Minister for Finance the total Government borrowing per day for the current year up to the end of the third quarter; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
Written Answers. - Government Borrowing.

Government net borrowing in the first three-quarters of the current year was £1,577 million. Expressed as an average per day over the 273 days of the period the figure is £5.8 million, significantly lower than the average of £9.3 million per day for the first quarter which I indicated in answer to the Deputy's similar question on 7 May 1985.
