I have already informed the scout organisation in question that I was prepared to consider their request for facilities at Portumna Forest Park sympathetically provided certain problems in relation to the condition and usage of the buildings could be overcome and resolved to the satisfaction of my Department.
To this end a meeting between representatives of the organisation and officials of my Department has been arranged for next week in Portumna to discuss the matter. Pending the outcome of that meeting and further negotiations, I am not in a position to say what arrangements may be mutually agreed.
