Vol. 363 No. 1

Written Answers. - Redundancy Lump Sum Entitlements.

440.

asked the Minister for Labour when his Department's portion of a redundancy lump sum will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Kerry arising from his employment with a company which are now gone into liquidation; when he is likely to receive his full redundancy lump sum; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

441.

asked the Minister for Labour the reason there was no redundancy money paid by his Department to a person (details supplied) in County Kerry who was made redundant from his employment; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I propose to take Questions Nos. 440 and 441 together.

My Department has received applications from a number of former employees of the company in question, including the persons named in the questions, for payment of their statutory redundancy lump sum entitlements from the Redundancy and Employers' Insolvency Fund. The applications are being processed at present and payments to all the employees will be made within the next ten days or so.
