I am informed by the Industrial Development Authority that about 230 people are employed by three firms located in the former Fieldcrest complex in Kilkenny. There is some 211,000 sq. ft. of vacant factory space and 30,000 sq. ft. of vacant office space on the site. The IDA are continuing their efforts to attract industry to the complex and discussions with a number of interested parties are proceeding.
