2,852 applications for silage subsidy were received from County Roscommon and 490 of these have been refused. A total of 1,560 applications for nitrogen subsidy were received. Of these 1,220 have been paid, 105 have been passed for payment and 235 are being further examined. The number of applications received under the feed voucher scheme in Roscommon was 5,818 of which 1,143 were rejected. These rejected cases included 630 applicants who had been excluded because they had received aid under the Shannon Valley scheme. These cases are now being reviewed.
