Vol. 363 No. 4

Written Answers. - Tipperary Veterinary Office.

157.

asked the Minister for Agriculture when facilities will be provided for the staff at the agricultural veterinary office, Saint Michael's Road, Tipperary, as at present there is no rest room there, there are no facilities for a burco boiler, refrigerator or snack maker as provided and required by Civil Service regulations; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The premises in which my Department's staff are located in Tipperary town is inadequate to cater fully for the numbers serving there and it is not possible to provide the facilities referred to. My Department has requested the Office of Public Works to provide additional or alternative accommodation to meet its current requirements. OPW is, I understand, actively pursuing this request and I would hope that a decision can be taken soon. The inconvenience caused to staff at present working at this location is regretted.
