Since my reply to a similar question by the Deputy about this case on 9 July last a difficulty has arisen. I understand that the vendor, contrary to what my Department understood, is unable to provide access for the Department to the land in question. Until such access is provided my Department cannot complete the purchase. The chief State solicitor is in correspondence with the vendor's solicitor on the matter.
