Vol. 363 No. 11

Written Answers. - Sanitary Services.

28.

asked the Minister for the Environment the water and sewerage schemes in County Donegal which are awaiting sanction from his Department.

Information in this matter is being compiled and will be forwarded to the Deputy.

29.

asked the Minister for the Environment the sanitary services works which would have been carried out in 1986 that can no longer be carried out as a result of the cutbacks in the sanitary services estimate.

Considerable progress has been made with the sanitary services programme and a record volume of work has been completed during the three years since the Government came into office. I am satisfied that the relevant capital provision for 1986 will be adequate to meet the appropriate share of the cost of commitments arising on all schemes under construction or already approved and will also enable a sufficient number of additional schemes to be released so as to ensure the continuance of a high level of activity.
