I have been advised by the Revenue Commissioners that the taxpayer's claim for repayment of tax on the grounds of unemployment has been dealt with and a cheque in settlement was issued to him on 31 January 1986. The taxpayer has recommenced employment. A certificate of tax-free allowances incorporating all the allowances to which he is entitled for the current year was issued to him on 20 January 1986.
