asked the Minister for Health the number of children who are at present in either residential or foster care in each of the health board areas; the number of such children who have been in care for five years or more who are (a) legitimate; and (b) illegitimate; the number of children in care for less than five years who are (a) legitimate; and (b) illegitimate.
Written Answers. - Children in Care.
25.
The latest data available in my Department on numbers in residential and foster care relate to June 1985 and are set out in the following tabular statement.
However, figures on length of stay and the status of children currently in care is not to hand and I would suggest that the Deputy contact the health boards direct for this information.
Number of Children in Care in each Health Board Area as at 30 June 1985
