It is my intention that Beaumont Hospital will be opened as soon as possible. I have indicated to the Irish Medical Organisation that I am prepared to offer the consultants a site on the Beaumont Hospital complex on which they can construct private medical consulting rooms. A draft lease has been prepared and forwarded to the Irish Medical Organisation and I am awaiting their response. Arrangements are being made for discussions with the other staff interests concerned regarding the transfer of services from Jervis Street and St. Laurence's Hospital to Beaumont Hospital.
