Limerick East): I am informed by the Industrial Development Authority that, because there has been an adequate amount of good quality accommodation suitable for international service type projects available in Galway the 17 acre site which they purchased on the campus of UCG has not been developed to date.
However, I understand that the Authority are now considering the development of the site and are seeking the involvement of the private sector in financing the construction of buildings thereon. The authority are negotiating in this regard with private developers. Pending the outcome of these negotiations, I am not in a position to indicate a time scale for the development of the park.
