asked the Minister for Labour if he will reconsider the proposal of the Stoneybatter District Youth and Community Council for a Teamwork project to provide a drop-in centre in this area of high unemployment in Dublin 7 and particularly in view of the advanced state of preparedness of the project and the detailed preplanning undertaken by the council; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Because of the large number of projects approved for assistance in 1985 which have continued into the present year, very heavy financial commitments under the Teamwork scheme have been carried over to 1986. It has been possible, therefore, to approve grants for only a limited number of new projects in 1986. As the money available for new projects has now been allocated, I regret that it will not be possible to reconsider the application from the Stoneybatter District Youth and Community Council for a Teamwork project this year.
