While the programme for second level schools is the responsibility of the Minister for Education, my Department operates a public educational programme aimed at disseminating information on fisheries and forestry which involves the issue of information leaflets, brochures and articles. In addition, members of the Department's staff are made available on request to give lectures and talks from time to time of which a large number are given to second level students.
